It consists of 23 villages and 483 households
covering an area of around 47.2 square km. Arunachal Pradesh (Tawang) of India border it in
the north and Yallang Geog in the east and Khamdang geog in the Southwest. Dangmechu runs on
the eastern part of the Geog.
Paddy, maize, wheat and buckwheat are the major
crops grown in the geog. Orange is grown in a limited quantity although the geog has good
potential to grow citrus fruits and potato for cash income generation.
Toetsho
Gewog has two Community primary schools and one Lower Secondary School. Other than Manam
village all the households from other villages have easy access to schooling facilities.
Children from this community walk more than two hours, (two ways) a day to attend school.
One BHU and five ORCs render basic health services in the geog. The geog has one
RNR center which delivers RNR extension services in the geog.
Around 25% of the
Geog is electrified. The Geog has no access to motorable road. Being on the border with
Tawang, a Police outpost is located at Jangphutse. The sacred Nye of Ombha is located in
this Geog.
